The police have arrested one Bashir Yusuf from Birnin-kudu in connection with the killing of a party supporter at a political event in Dutse on April 25.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, Abdu Jinjiri, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria in Dutse on Tuesday.
Jinjiri said one person was killed and had no report of any injured person.
He said: “The police was contacted after an event by a political party that somebody was in a pool of his blood around Tipper Garage in Dutse.
“Our men rushed to the scene and immediately took him to the hospital where he died after few hours.
“The perpetrator must be brought to book.
